A reputable recruitment and technical staffing agency is seeking a Recruitment Manager to oversee its Lagos operations. The successful candidate will lead the recruitment function for skilled trades and technical roles—especially for oil and gas, construction, and industrial clients.
This role requires a hands-on professional with experience in both outsourced labor supply and permanent placements. The ideal candidate must reside in the Ajah–Lekki axis and have proven capability in managing recruitment teams, client engagement, and compliance with labor regulations.
What you will be doing
- Lead and manage a team of recruiters and support staff across various technical verticals.
- Report directly to executive leadership on team performance, project pipelines, and operational strategy.
- Write and publish job adverts across platforms; manage sourcing, screening, interviews, and onboarding.
- Oversee background checks, technical evaluations, and documentation for successful candidates.
- Ensure quality placement of candidates for both contract and permanent roles.
- Serve as a primary liaison between clients and recruitment teams—driving satisfaction and retention.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, cold calls, and referrals.
- Respond to Requests for Quotation (RFQs), Invitations to Tender (ITTs), and Expressions of Interest (EOIs).
- Supervise candidate training, licensing, and skill testing at a technical training facility.
- Ensure candidates are certified under national or international bodies (NEBOSH, IOSH, City & Guilds, etc.).
- Manage the confined space simulator and safety-focused assessment environment.
- Ensure full compliance with Nigerian labor laws, pensions, ITF, NSITF, and other statutory requirements.
- Maintain active recruiter’s permit and support all regulatory filings and renewals.
- Align recruitment and training practices with NCDMB and NUPRC/DPR guidelines.
The ideal candidate
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ verifiable experience in technical recruitment or manpower outsourcing.
- Proven success placing candidates in oil & gas, construction, or industrial sectors.
- Strong familiarity with contract staffing and permanent recruitment models.
- Excellent leadership and team supervision abilities.
- Strong proposal writing, client presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in sourcing, screening, offer management, and CRM/reporting tools.
- Ability to manage recruitment tenders and technical documentation with accuracy.
- Deep understanding of Nigerian labor law and statutory compliance (recruiter’s permit, ITF, NSITF, pensions).
- Familiar with local content requirements under NCDMB and NUPRC/DPR policies.
- Knowledge of safety and certification standards for skilled labor.
- High level of professionalism, independence, and accountability.
