Job Brief

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Human Resources Officer to support and manage our client’s people operations. The role will be responsible for recruitment, employee lifecycle management, policy development, and ensuring full compliance with Nigerian labour laws and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to management on HR and labour-related matters while promoting a positive and compliant workplace culture.

What You Will Be Doing

• Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including sourcing, interviewing, selection, and onboarding of employees.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation.
• Ensure full compliance with Nigerian labour laws, employment regulations, and internal company policies.
• Handle employee relations matters, including disciplinary actions, grievance management, and conflict resolution.
• Develop, review, and implement HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks in line with best practices.
• Advise management on labour law issues, employee relations, and HR best practices.
• Support performance management processes and employee engagement initiatives.
• Coordinate training and development activities where required.
• Prepare HR reports and provide insights to support management decision-making.

The Ideal Candidate

• Minimum of BSc in Human Resources, Law, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant HR experience, preferably in a structured organization.
• Strong working knowledge of Nigerian labour laws and employment regulations.
• High level of confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism.
• Good negotiation, mediation, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Excellent documentation, record-keeping, and report-writing skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
