Job Brief
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Housekeeping Officer to lead our client’s housekeeping department and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and maintenance across all guest rooms and public areas. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, excellent time management skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional guest experiences.
What You Will Be Doing
- Supervise daily housekeeping operations including room cleaning, laundry services, and public area maintenance.
- Train, schedule, and manage housekeeping staff to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to company standards.
- Inspect guest rooms, lobbies, restrooms, and other common areas for cleanliness and maintenance.
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and linen; place orders as needed and manage stockroom organization.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, hygiene standards, and company policies.
- Address and resolve guest complaints or requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with maintenance and front office teams to ensure seamless guest service.
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules, deep cleaning plans, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching, and promote staff development.
- Maintain housekeeping records, including payroll, inspections, and attendance logs.
The Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience as a Housekeeping Officer for 3+ years within the hospitality industry.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate a team.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, tools, and health and safety standards.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Knowledge of housekeeping software and inventory systems.
- Problem-solving and conflict resolution capabilities.
- Keen attention to detail and a passion for cleanliness and order.
