Job Brief
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead the daily operations of our client’s apartment hotel. This role requires a seasoned professional who understands the intricacies of hotel operations, from Food & Beverage to Front Office and Housekeeping, while also possessing strong financial acumen. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, strategic, and passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences while ensuring operational efficiency and profitability.
What You Will Be Doing
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the hotel, including F&B, Housekeeping, Front Office, Maintenance, and Guest Services.
- Monitor financial performance by reviewing key documents such as, budgets, forecasts, and other financial reports.
- Lead and inspire department heads to meet and exceed operational goals and service standards.
- Ensure high levels of guest satisfaction through quality control, problem resolution, and consistent service delivery.
- Develop and implement strategies to maximize room occupancy, revenue, and guest retention.
- Manage hotel inventory, cost controls, vendor relationships, and supply chain efficiency.
- Oversee staff recruitment, training, evaluation, and motivation to ensure peak performance.
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Report directly to ownership on operational updates, financial results, and improvement opportunities.
The Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management.
- 6 – 10 years of experience in hospitality management, with a proven track record in a similar General Manager role.
- Strong operational knowledge across departments: F&B, Front Office, Housekeeping, and Facilities.
- Excellent financial literacy and the ability to interpret and act on financial documents.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive.
- Comfortable living onsite and being available for emergencies when necessary.
