Job Brief
We are recruiting for a budget-friendly hotel in Ajah, Lagos, seeking a dedicated Assistant Food and Beverage Manager to assist the F&B Manager in the dining operations and ensure exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate will oversee the daily operations of the food and beverage department, ensuring high-quality service, efficient operations, and compliance with health and safety standards.
What You Will Be Doing
- Assist the F&B Manager in managing, training, and motivating food and beverage staff to deliver excellent service.
- Collaborate with chefs and suppliers to design and update menus that align with guest preferences and budget constraints.
- Supervise the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, bar, and room service to maintain high service standards.
- Prepare and manage budgets, monitor revenue and expenses, and ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Monitor guest feedback and implement strategies to improve overall dining experiences.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.
- Oversee the procurement, storage, and inventory of food and beverage supplies to prevent shortages or wastage.
- Plan and manage special events, banquets, and group dining experiences.
- Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and cost efficiency.
The Ideal Candidate
- At least three (3) years of proven experience as an Assistant Food and Beverage Manager within the hospitality industry.
- Strong ability to lead and develop a team to achieve operational excellence.
- A track record of enhancing guest satisfaction and handling guest complaints effectively.
- Skilled in budgeting, forecasting, and managing revenue to meet financial goals.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining service quality and inventory.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with staff and guests.
- A degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with food and beverage software systems and up-to-date knowledge of industry trends.
