Job Brief

We are seeking a reliable and proactive Maintenance Officer to ensure that our facilities are always in excellent condition. The ideal candidate will handle day-to-day upkeep, routine repairs, and maintenance of all equipment, infrastructure, and utilities across the restaurant, production centre, and staff quarters.

What you will be doing

• Perform basic repairs on electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
• Maintain and repair kitchen equipment including fryers, ovens, refrigerators, cold rooms, and extractors.
• Carry out building maintenance tasks including doors, ceilings, baseboards, handrails, etc.
• Develop and follow preventive maintenance schedules for equipment and appliances.
• Monitor utility consumption and implement cost-saving measures.
• Source and coordinate external vendors or contractors for specialized repair jobs.
• Maintain accurate logs of all maintenance tasks and repairs performed.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify repair needs or safety concerns.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Prepare and present reports on maintenance activities and facility performance.
• Keep facilities clean, organized, and in compliance with company standards.

The ideal candidate

• Minimum of HND in Engineering, Facility Management, or a related technical field.
• 2–3 years of hands-on maintenance experience, preferably in the hospitality or restaurant industry.
• Knowledge of kitchen equipment maintenance and safety compliance.
• Proficiency with tools, maintenance schedules, and preventive repair protocols.
• Ability to work independently and troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
• Physical stamina and flexibility to respond to urgent repair needs.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
